CRUDO

Overview

I worked with the filmmaking studio FRAME STUDIO, and we were hired by CRUDO Sushi Bar, a renowned sushi restaurant in Bologna (Italy), to produce a video commercial that highlights their dual identity: a top-tier dining experience by day and an energetic nightlife hub by night. The goal was to create a captivating video that would appeal to their target audience of young adults aged 25-35, emphasizing the restaurant's exceptional sushi and its transformation into a vibrant club after dinner.

Challenges & Approach

The main challenge was to seamlessly convey both aspects of CRUDO’s identity—an elegant dining experience and a dynamic nightlife venue—within a single cohesive narrative. Our concept revolved around a relatable story of two friends who discover CRUDO as the perfect place to enjoy exquisite sushi and an unforgettable night of music and fun.

We focused on using cinematic storytelling, detailed food shots, and dynamic nightlife scenes to capture the contrast between the serene dining ambiance and the high-energy club atmosphere. Precision in pacing and transitions between the two vibes was key to immersing viewers in CRUDO’s unique experience.

The Result

The final video showcased CRUDO’s dual identity, transitioning from serene dining scenes with beautifully lit food close-ups to the vibrant energy of a nightclub at night. Slow-motion shots captured the lively crowd, bartenders crafting cocktails, and friends enjoying the transformation.

The promotional video achieved significant success, garnering nearly 60,000 views on Instagram, making it the most-viewed content on the client’s page. It effectively resonated with the target audience, boosting both restaurant and club attendance.
