Overview

The music is the real star of the video. #3 by Aphex Twin perfectly accompanies the slow-motion images of a beach during a sunset, which, even though it’s wintery, manages to remain as reflective as possible. The perfect combination that highlights the music, however, is the short and iconic voice-over conversation from the film Psyco (1960), directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

Challenges & Approach

The making of the video was natural and fluid. It encapsulates perfectly the true spirit of the project: “grab the camera and follow me”. No script, just going with the flow. Knowing that the film dialogue and the music matched perfectly was an absolute pleasure.

The result

The ultimate goal of Cinema is to create an emotion, regardless of the genre you prefer. This experiment evokes an emotion that is difficult to achieve with such a simple video.
