Overview

For the creation of this video, we started from an audio. A phrase that is pronounced in the film Dazed and Confused, (1993), directed by Richard Linklater, in which one of the characters, David, played by a young Matthew McConaughey in his first cinematic role, talks about how the more you grow, the more people will want to put boundaries within you. The best way to get out of these is to continue L I V I N’. The melody is taken from the Lo-Fi version of the Imagine Dragons song, Next To Me. The images that flow are different angles of a summer spent trying to continue living despite the various boundaries already placed by others, showing the various adventures that a simple camera can witness.

Challenges & Approach

The challenge was to find the perfect combination of image, speech and music. A phrase from a movie, which has remained in the minds of many viewers, combined with calm and relaxing music while the images of a carefree summer in search of new experiences pass by.

The result

The video effectively conveyed the themes of friendship, adventure, and self-discovery that are central to this project.
